October 20, 2014
Hi Everyone :) Hope everyone is off to a great week so far- youth, don't forget to keep track of your dependence on Jesus this week! It will be eye-opening...trust me! Below is important information about upcoming Catalyst "happenings." Please read carefully.
This week: My office hours are Today, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday
West/Reagan Tailgate
We are so excited about this event! Come and bring food, family and friends! Also, bring a lawn chair. Please go online and sign up by Thursday for something specific to bring! Hot dogs, buns, paper products & good time provided by Catalyst.
Fall Lock-In
Beth Johnson, our hospitality chair, is super duper awesome and has created what is known as our "FOR" Committee (For Offering Relief). She has spoken to many of you about being put on this rotation to assist leaders with set up/clean up for potlucks, special events, and offering relief as needed by leaders (substitute teachers, drivers, etc.). Please see attached document for details. If your name is on the list and shouldn't be for whatever reason, or if you would like to be added to the list, please contact Beth directly via email at [email protected]. Thank you for helping minister to youth through your behind the scenes service!
That's about it folks! Be sure that you're staying tuned to our website as well! Suzanne Farlow works very hard to keep that updated for us :)
Love you all,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
October 15, 2014 Happy Hump Day everyone :)
Can't believe we're almost through with October! Yikes, time is flying!! Here's what's happening this week....
My office hours this week (Tues-Friday)
If you're going Deep Sea Fishing with us November 14-16th, don't forget to mark your calendars for November 2nd right after Catalyst; we are going to meet and talk about what to expect/bring/and our plans for this year. Make sure that if you're a youth attending that you have at least one parent present. Also, if you're a chaperone on this trip, you're expected to be there.
Creative Outlet Play:
Debbie Weston & the Creative Outlet folks still need us to help out with the Dinner Theatre the weekend of November 14-16th. You will be serving tables, helping out a little in the kitchen and clean up. Please go online and sign up if you are not going on the fishing trip.
Hauling stuff to Goodwill:
Unfortunately the Rescue Mission wasn't able to take the treadmill & air hockey table because of last night's rain, so if anyone is able TOMORROW @ any time to help load/haul/unload to the goodwill, please let me know ASAP!
That's all folks- have a beautiful week!
Love in Christ,
Emily Roach

October 9. 2014
Hi everyone :)
What a great weekend we had- thanks to all who helped out with the sale & HUGE THANK YOU to Sarah & Marcine Watkins for being me at the Yard Sale and working ALL DAY!!!!! You ladies are wonderful! :)
Just a few things about this week....
For the rest of this week: I'm in the office Today & Saturday.
Next week: I'm in the office Tuesday-Friday.
Upcoming events/announcements:
WE REALLY NEED TO HELP CREATIVE OUTLET!
The third weekend in November, Creative Outlet is putting on their annual Dinner Theatre play. Each year, they pick a charity or organization to sponsor, and they have chosen US! If you are not attending the Fishing Trip, then I expect as many of you to help as possible, otherwise, I am going to ask them to pick another organization to sponsor. It's a little difficult with timing because our trip was already set, but since we have a small group going on the fishing trip, then we shouldn't have any issue getting folks to the play to help out. PLEASE GO ONLINE AND SIGN UP TODAY!!! :)
Guatemala Mission Trip 2015:
We are so excited that 15 adults and youth from LUMC are going to head to Guatemala in just 8 short months!! Don't forget that your $275 deposit is due to me no later than noon on October 17th. If you've already paid the early bird of $950, you're set and good to go.
Have a great week!! Love you guys!

September 30.2014
Happy Tuesday everyone :)
Hope you're all off to a great start to your week! This is a big week in the "Catalyst world" with our Yard Sale right around this week's corner!! Be sure that if you haven't signed up to help, you do so ASAP. We especially need adult help after 9am.
Here's what's up this week....
This week: I'm in the office Today: 7:30-3:30pm, Wednesday: 12-8:30pm, Thursday: 9:30-6pm, Friday 2-8pm & Saturday 6-9am.
Fall Cookout Games:
Every year we help out with games for the Fall Churchwide Cookout; therefore, this is me asking for help! :) If you'd like to help lead games, let me know. You would need to arrive around 3:30pm for set up. Thanks so much!
More info about Guatemala Mission Trip 2015:
As you saw below, you have until next Monday, October 6th to give me a verbal confirmation that you are for sure going and until October 17th to turn in your $275 deposit. You will still have to pay the deposit if you back out between the verbal confirmation and deposit due date. Since we have never done a mission like this before, we have made a goal to support each participant with 20% of their registration fee ($220 of the $1,110), if they participate fully in fundraisers. If you would like the "early bird rate" of $950, you must pay that instead of the deposit. Either way you choose to pay, the church will help you with 20% of your total cost (950 or 1,100). We have encouraged everyone to ask friends and family to help raise funds for this trip, and create a "go fund me" account and share on social networking sites, if you can. I'd personally encourage everyone to attempt to raise $1,000, and whatever is left over, we can use for building the house and/or packing the house with goodies for the families. This trip is for current 8th graders-current College Juniors only (Adults welcomed).
Dinner Theatre:
Creative Outlet is sponsoring us this year for their dinner theatre! All proceeds will go to our Guatemala Trip, so we have a great opportunity for those of you that are planning to go, and aren't planning to attend the Fishing Trip. On November 15 & 16th, they will need food servers and have asked for the youth to help. You can sign up online today! Since they are being so gracious to us, let's make sure we have youth there to assist.
I will be in and out this weekend due to a friend's wedding, and I won't be at church on Sunday; therefore, if you have any questions for me, please take care of them prior to Friday morning.
Love you guys!

Hi folks! Hope everyone's first day of school was a breeze and that you don't have too much homework right off the bat ;) Parents, I'm sure it was harder for some of you than for the youth! As you're getting back into a routine, don't forget about all of the happenings with Catalyst.... :)
Most weeks..
Mission Trip Sharing - September 14, 2014
Please mark your calendars for September 14th for both services to share about the mission trip.
If you have pictures or videos from the mission trip that you'd like to go on a slideshow, please email them to me, or you can send me a link to a Facebook album if you have one. I have George's pictures, but if any of the rest of you have pics, please send. If you cannot be there that morning but would like to write a 2min or so testimony about your trip (mission & worship), you can send that directly to Emily's email [email protected].
Want to receive regular Catalyst updates via text?
Fall kick-off is in 2 weeks!
Fall kick-off could possibly be our most important night @ Catalyst! It sets the bar for the whole entire year and it is in two weeks: September 7th! Below is the series of events, make sure you read carefully & arrive when you need to. Also, we will be taking up and giving out a LOT of paperwork on this day, and if you'd like to save some time, I've attached the 2014-2015 general medical/permission form. Parents with more than one child may fill out one form as long as they designate special needs/allergies/medical info with child's name.
Catalyst needs volunteers!
I spoke about this in church yesterday, but we are experiencing a bit of growing pains. Our group is growing so large so fast, which is an amazing problem that needs everyone's help in order to find the solution. We have 20 incoming 6th graders alone- not to mention that we have had a bunch of regular visitors over the summer. Hopefully we are all invested in the future of our church & our young people; therefore, please let me know how you would like to help. If you're not the type to teach or be directly in the scenes, we have plenty of spaces that will need volunteers behind the scenes. If everyone does their fair share, then the commitment will be minimal. Attached is a volunteer application. I ask that you pray about this and respond before Sunday, October 5th.
Last but not least, I'll be @ Sweet Frog on Hanes Mall Blvd today (8/26) at 4:30pm if anyone wants to come hang out and tell me about their first day at school!
Love you guys,

August 12, 2014 3:14 PMHi everyone!
Just as reminder that I AM working this week, just from home. I'm discerning and planning the 2015 calendar to give out at kick-off on September 7th. PLEASE MARK THIS DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR! This would be a great time to bring friends who need to get plugged into a youth group. We will be rocking strong from 3pm-7pm that night, so come prepared for a blast of fun. The theme is "Out of This World," so feel free to come dressed for the theme :)
In other news....
This week:
Our Youth Council folks work so hard to elevate the experience for their peers, but they need help! As school is approaching, everyone will be busy, so in order for Catalyst to be as great as it could be, I'd love to help provide some help for them, all while giving the rest of you some leadership experience. Each of the council members sign up for a "special task" to do each month on a monthly rotation which can include: helping in the office, doing skits/videos, greeting folks on Sunday nights, helping lead mission projects/fundraisers/etc., serving behind-the-scenes on Sunday nights, leading a Bible Study/talk during Catalyst, or bringing to life their own ideas and seeing it through. While I know they love the leadership, they can always use YOUR help in some of the tasks. If there's a certain area (see above) that you'd like to help with to gain a little leadership experience and to help with the longevity of our leaders, I know they'd be willing to delegate and share the experience with you. If you'd like to get involved and help assist our Youth Council in serving, contact your president, Alexis Speaks at any time. Her email is [email protected]. Don't be shy- it's always a lot of fun.
FAB FRIDAY POSTPONED
Due to numerous reasons, we have decided to postpone the FAB Friday event that was originally scheduled for August 22nd. Be on the look-out for the date; once it is set, you will be contacted.
Blessings,

Wednesday, June 4, 2014
Hi everyone,Happy hump day! :) This is a wild and crazy week with Graduation Sunday and our End of the Year Cookout among us. Please be sure to read the email carefully to news and ways to get involved. Parents and adults: I need help in some areas, so be sure to check that out too! :)
This week:
Youth Council:
Mark your calendars for June 16th (Monday)-June 17th (Tuesday) from 7pm-7pm for our YC Retreat! We'll have it here at the church. Monday will be mainly bonding and fun, and Tuesday will be more bonding, planning, and training. :) Please bring money for dinner out on Monday, all other meals will be provided! You're welcome to stay at the church, but you're also welcome to go home and sleep in your own bed! Your choice.
Adult Chaperones/Drivers needed:
Two of our WOW Wednesdays need at least 2 more adults 21+ to help drive/chaperone the events.....June 23rd (Paintball) and August 6th (Haywood Street in Asheville). You don't have to play paintball if you don't want to, we really just need transportation! Also, Haywood Street will be an amazing day of service to the homeless, along with worship! Sign up online to chaperone.
Leader's Week Off:
As leaders, we are constantly in "go" mode that we rarely get together to learn from another, laugh, and grow; therefore, we have decided that June 22nd is going to be Leader's Week Off!
We are happy if you all still want to meet, but you'll need to find willing adults to meet with you after you
a) let me know your plan if it's at the church,
b) check the church calendar (again, if it's at the church) and
c) include everyone.
We will resume our regular weekly meetings on June 29th.
Help in the office:
As we are gearing up for the fall (yes, I said it), I will need extra help in the office mailing letters, forms, and information; praying for folks; creating bulletin boards, etc. Please let me know if and when you're available....I'll offer volunteer hours!
WOW Wednesdays:
If you're signed up for a WOW Wednesday this summer, don't worry about details. You will get an email with everything that you need to know the week beforehand. It will also include a rain plan as weather always seems to play a key role here at Catalyst Youth Ministries!
That's about it- have a tremendous week and know how much Jesus and I love you all!

Thursday, May 29, 2014 2:46
Hi Everyone!Happy Thursday :) I'm getting a late start in sending you the weekly email, I apologize, but it's been busy around here as we gear up for summer!!
Here's just a few things to keep in mind this week:
This week's topic:
Our students are continuing an extended series focused on various religions and worldviews. It’s our hope and prayer that these conversations will engage our teenagers in some deep, thoughtful conversations about their faith and will help them be prepared for conversations with people of different beliefs.
This week we will look at some tough questions about the world and examine what an atheistic worldview looks like. We will talk about the challenge of living life without belief in God and how that fails to answer fundamental questions about morality, existence, and the problem of evil. Some that adhere to atheistic teaching would say that the problem of evil proves that there isn’t a God. We examined this and discussed in depth what it meant that God is good and didn’t create this world in the state it is now, that man’s sinful behavior has separated us from God and it is only through Christ that we experience that reconciliation.
Here are some questions you might want to ask at home this week:
To keep the conversation flowing at home this week, consider asking these kinds of questions:
Thanks for allowing us to partner with you in the discipleship of your teenager. Feel free to contact me if you have any follow-up questions about this week’s conversation, or if you would like any additional resources. Have a blessed week!

We are so blessed to have amazing parents and youth here at LUMC.
Here's just a few things to keep in mind this week:
That's all folks- love you!

Hi Everyone! It's going to be a CRAZY week, because guess what...SUNDAY IS YOUTH SUNDAY!! Wowza- but it's going to be an excellent service. I will say this about Youth Sunday....
Youth Sunday
Our sign up day for Youth Sunday (this past Sunday) fell on the Sunday after Easter, which is, I don't know why, one of the two least attended Sundays; therefore, I will say that if you weren't able to be there Sunday and are dying for a part, we didn't get to do the skit and will do it this Saturday at our rehearsal, and you are welcome to come be a part of that. Rehearsal is Saturday from 2-5pm in the fellowship hall. We ask that everyone is ON TIME for this rehearsal so that we can individually regroup with our partners and then do 2 complete run-throughs (in fell hall and sanctuary).
Ultimate Summer Registration Form As stated in last week's email, the USR forms are out! Please see attached form and turn it in to Stephanie Salus (our new registration lady- yay!) by Sunday, May 25th. You can turn things into Stephanie in the black lockbox outside of my office. Directions are posted. You may still turn things into me on Sunday evenings, but I will just put it in Stephanie's box. For WOW Wednesdays, you do not need to pay until the DAY OF the event. Please share this form and exciting opportunities with friends- summer events are great times and opps to outreach!!!
Other stuff:
Guidelines for T-shirt Design:
This week:
Thursday: Leaps of Faith, 4:30-6pm
Friday: I will be out of the office.
Saturday: Youth Sunday Rehearsal @ 2-5pm. Fellowship Hall.
Sunday: Youth Sunday & Church Wide Picnic; Final Payment for HS Mission trip due (and liability waiver).
Next Week:
Tuesday: Breakfast Devo @ 7:30am (Only 3 left!!)
Wednesday: Leader Mtg, 7:30pm
Thursday: Leaps of Faith, 4:30-6pm
Friday: I will be out of the office.
Sunday 5/11: NO Catalyst- Hang out with Mom!
Parents: Our Parent Meeting will be at 6:30 (after Catalyst Family Potluck) on May 18th, instead of 3:30pm.

Catalyst Youth News: April 22, 2014
Hi Everyone!

Tuesday, April 15, 2014
Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!! I've already had a great morning hanging out with 13 teenagers before school! So proud that 13 of them would get out of bed and come to fellowship before school.
Anywho- thanks to all who made the yard sale a huge success! Our total raised is now up to 1,292.76! People are still donating money :) For those of you that helped in any way, the money will be divided up like so:
Welcome to HOLY WEEK! We are officially here! Remember what this week is about- get in the Word and study each day- and share with someone who doesn't know! This is one of the most important weeks of our year!
Remember to send me your availability between June 1-August 11th. Weeknights or weekends. Basically- just send me when you CAN'T meet for a retreat. Please let me know by Sunday, April 27th.
SpiritUs
Sadly, the forms STILL aren't out for the weekend retreat at Camp/Fort Caswell. If you're still trying to decide, please be sure you have a good idea within the next couple of weeks, because I still want to take up registration before May 1st. It's a wonderful weekend retreat put on by the UMC Conference, and it's at the beach! If you've been the Lake Junaluska, it's a lot like that trip, but on a larger scale. I'm sorry the conference hasn't released the forms like they had originally said that they would, but I'm working with what I have. If you need any more details about the trip, please let me know. The date for the trip is August 8-10th and the cost will be $120. Adults' way is covered by the ministry.
That's all for now folks- have a tremendous Holy Week!
Love in Christ,

Hi everyone! It's almost time for the Yard Sale!!! I cannot believe it! Thanks to all of you that have already signed up. If you haven't signed up, please do so now! We really need ADULT help! Remember, if you want discounted prices on trip and mission opportunities, you must participate in fundraisers like this.
This week:
*I'll be out of the office Friday & Saturday of next week.
I'm waiting "patiently" (haha) for the sign ups for SpiritUs to come up. You all will have the form as soon as I get it!!! Also, a complete summer calendar will be going out in May! Stay tuned. The only change so far on the 2014 calendar is the lock-in on June 13th (due to graduations).
Love you all! Have a great week!

Tuesday, April 1, 2014
Hi everyone!Happy Spring Break to you WSFCS folks- go get a tan for me somewhere :) I cannot tell you what a blessing it was to have over 64 people there Sunday night for GOD'S NOT DEAD! What a powerful movie. Derek heard the theater guys out in the hall talking about the movie- he heard them say "Man I didn't think anyone would be here for this movie since it's Sunday," but what a crowd was there!!
This week:
a) Love Jesus
b) Want to grow in relationship with Jesus & others, and
c) Love the beach
...you should come on this trip! It's a larger scale "Junaluska" experience. The trip is August 8-10th. Registration forms will be released any day now, and when it does, I'll shoot the link to you all to fill out the forms. Official registration opens May 1st, and we want our registration forms in to them the minute it opens!! SpiritUs is VERY popular and fills up fast- especially good housing (we could get stuck in what they call the "barracks"). I will collect your registration forms and money no later than April 27th so we can get our registration forms in by the day it opens.
That's about it folks! Have a great rest of your week!
Love,

Catalyst Youth News: March 24, 2014
Happy Monday! I just wanted to give you the Catalyst 411 today before I head off to Texas Tuesday evening- please pray for the weather to go away (if it comes) so we can make our flight to our friend's wedding! Also, remember that if school is delayed or cancelled, there won't be a HS Breakfast devo tomorrow morning.
I know you're all excited to hear the big news...so I'd like to be the first to announce a huge congratulations to three of our upcoming Seniors who will begin serving as your leadership team in June. Thanks for your votes! This was the closest race I've ever seen, so good thing that they're all going to be serving God and you all this year!

Catalyst News: March 11, 2014
Upcoming:
We are continuing our apologetics series that focuses on understanding Jesus—foundational truths that will help teenagers as they explain and defend their faith in Christ. This week we will discuss the evidence that validates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is the most central event in the Christian faith, and the Bible teaches us that if Jesus was not raised from the dead, then we have no hope in our faith.
The evidence from the apostles, as well as the Apostle Paul’s changed life, is greatly encouraging. If the risen Christ can empower terrified disciples, who locked themselves in a room out of fear, to stand up and preach just a few weeks later, then imagine what he can do in our lives. If Jesus’ appearance to the most notorious Christian persecutor propelled him to change into the most passionate church planter this planet has ever seen, then the resurrection of Jesus has great power in our lives.
Here are some questions that could help spur conversation this week with your teenager:

Fall Lock-In
- Attending & what to bring: The deadline for the haunted trail has unfortunately past, but if you'd still like to come to the lock-in @ 11pm and/or bring a friend, you're welcome to just show up with: Bible, friends, change of clothes, sleeping bag, money to go toward the pumpkin carving contest (see below) and a snack/drink/candy to share. If you plan to bring a friend, just make sure that they have a medical form/general permission form on file with me. If they do not, attach is one for you to share & bring.
- Food & Volunteers: We still need a couple of brave volunteers :) haha, and food for the LONG night. Go online and sign up if you're willing to do/bring something.
- Carve for the ta-tas: During the night we'll have a pumpkin carving contest for mission! Since it's breast cancer awareness month, we'd love for you to carve out your best jack-o-latern and bring it to help raise money! There is no theme requirement, as long as it's appropriate :)
- How it works: Each pumpkin will be placed on display and youth & adults will get to donate change and cash to help the pumpkin win! ALL PROCEEDS go to breast cancer awareness. Let's raise money for this cause and have fun in the process!!!

- Tomorrow: "Fields of Faith" @ Reagan High School, 7pm. The FCA of Reagan HS is putting on a worship experience for students of all schools tomorrow night. Please let me know if you plan to attend!

Happy Tuesday everyone :)
Hope you're all off to a great start to your week! Here's what's happening in the Catalyst world....
This week: I'm in the office Today-Thursday; Saturday.
- Tomorrow: National See You at the Pole Day! Go take a stand for Christ and pray @ your school's flag pole before school!

A lot of the families that stay there are from rural areas and do not have the time and ability to run back and forth. Please go online to sign up! If you cannot be there but still want to help, you can donate items.
- Sunday 9/28/14 - this is a friendly reminder that if you attended the 2014 Summer Mission Trip, we are speaking THIS SUNDAY in BOTH services about our trip. Please let me know if you plan to be there, if you plan to speak, and send me pictures/videos if you haven't already. Lastly, wear your Score Tshirt!

- 3:00pm- Orientation for new youth & parents @ Fellowship Hall
- 3:30pm- Catalyst Registation & Ministry Fair for all students and parents@ Fellowship Hall
- 4:00pm- Welcome meeting for all students and parents for 2014-2015 @ Fellowship Hall
- 4:30-6pm- Kick-Off Program for all students @ Picnic Shelter (rain plan= Fellowship Hall)
- 6-7pm- Kick-Off Worship @ Sanctuary; Music by Brandon Kelley & Message by Andy Lambert

This week:
- Tomorrow (Wed 8/13): Luke Atkins (Peyton's cousin) and his family are heading back to Romania on Sunday, so we are going to say goodbye over lunch @ Alex's at 1:30pm. Let Peyton know if you can come~ 336.978.0072.
- Saturday 8/16: Wet N Wild; Meet at the church @ 9am. Bring a bagged lunch that can fit in a large cooler, as well as a small bag with sunscreen, towel, and a change of clothes in it. Dinner will not be provided- plan to eat with your family when you get home. Pick up is at 6pm.
- Sunday 8/17:
- 2:30pm- Youth Council Mtg.
- 4-6:00pm- Catalyst
- 6-6:30pm- 3rd Sunday Potluck for youth and families @ fellowship hall
- Wednesday, 8/20: Leader Mtg, 7pm
- Sunday, 8/24:
- New Student Orientation, 10am @ HS Sunday School Class. All incoming 6th graders will be invited, in addition to anyone who would like more information about getting involved with Catalyst (frequent visitors who would like to join our group, etc.)
- NO Catalyst- get rested up for school, kiddos! :)
Blessings,

Hi folks,I hope you're all having a lovely week! I just got home from the beach- it was gorgeous weather....not rubbing it in, I promise ;) Just wanted to fill you in on a few things...not too much going on this week due to the Father's Day:
This week:
- Tomorrow (Friday): 6:30pm, there will be a packing party in Keith's office for any willing hearts who would like to attend. See below from Keith...
- I will be having a ‘packing party” for my office at the church tomorrow, Friday, starting at 6:30 p.m.If available and can help, PLEASE “reply” to this email and let me know, [email protected]. I will then be able to judge how many is coming and if getting to many, then I can let you know.
- Also, I need help tomorrow afternoon or evening at the Parsonage, just moving boxes , etc. to the basement. Since I will be away next week at Annual Conference, the Parsonage Team is replacing all the carpet in the house. All is original with the house and long overdue. But since there is little space that is not carpeted, all the packed boxes have to go to the basement. Any time after 2:00 p.m., just come to the house at 201 Sonata Drive (off Grapevine in Shallowford Lakes). If want to call before coming, that’s ok.
- Sunday: Father's Day; No Catalyst! Hang out with pops!
Next week:
- Monday- Tuesday: Youth Council Retreat from 7pm-7pm (You may spend the night if you'd like, but if not, you are welcome to go home and sleep :]) Everyone should bring snacks to share, a Bible, IDEAS FOR 2014-2015, pen, and paper. Leaders: You are welcome to come help with planning after 2pm on Tuesday :)PLEASE come with ideas so that we can spend less time planning and more time bonding, worshipping and praying! I will welcome any adult volunteers who wish to stay overnight :)
- Wednesday: Hanging Rock trip! Arrive no later than 9:15 am to the WW Lobby and BRING BAG LUNCH!! Pick up is 4pm. Dress for the activities you wish to participate in & where comfy shoes. Remember to bring money for what you'd like to do (Swimming $5, Boats $5 for the first hour ($3 each hour after), Fishing is Free (must have fishing license if older than 16).
- Sunday: Leader's Night Off!
I need some help in the office organizing, cleaning (from all of the end of the year stuff & graduation), and doing some things to welcome the incoming 6th graders- I am offering volunteer hours to anyone in need :)
Have a fantabulous rest of the week! Love you all :)
Blessings,

- Which takes more faith: believing God exists or believing God doesn’t exist? Why?
- How have you experienced or witnessed God using evil or pain for a greater good?
- How is talking with someone who’s an atheist different from talking to someone who believes in a religion or worldview that says God may exist—or God exists in other forms? What unique challenges might you face?
To keep the conversation flowing at home this week, consider asking these kinds of questions:
- How might you talk to someone about the existence of God by just looking out into creation?
- In Acts 17, the Apostle Paul took time to examine the things that the Athenian culture worshipped—why is this important as you consider sharing your faith or asking questions about someone’s worldview?
- What are two or three key things you ought to do when talking to someone who holds a different worldview than you do?
Thanks for allowing us to partner with you in the discipleship of your teenager. Feel free to contact me if you have any follow-up questions about this week’s conversation, or if you would like any additional resources. Have a blessed week!

- 10% will go directly into our Missions fund off the top.
- The leftover 90% will be divided evenly between those who helped with the fundraiser (this doesn't necessarily mean just on the actual day of the sale). We will keep track of your totals and this money will go towards any future Catalyst trip that you choose.
Welcome to HOLY WEEK! We are officially here! Remember what this week is about- get in the Word and study each day- and share with someone who doesn't know! This is one of the most important weeks of our year!

- As someone who hasn’t seen Jesus like his disciples did, how have you struggled with doubts about faith or God?
- What evidence for Jesus’ resurrection do you find strongest and most persuasive? Why?
- How can this week’s discussion help you as you talk with people who reject or are unsure of the reality of Jesus’ resurrection?
